Before and After: 5 Star Master Bathroom Remodel

For designers Tim Schelfe, ASID, and Marlene Heymer, ASID, of the Raleigh interior design firm Schelfe and Associates, this recently completed master bathroom is more than a statement in refined elegance. Tim and Marlene were asked by their clients to create a new and luxurious master bath that offered the level of comfort and detail the owners had come to know through their worldly travels and stays in luxury hotels.

Working closely with the homeowners and contractor, the design team from Schelfe and Associates established the desired European feel to the space. Two main conditions they faced were to stay within the existing footprint and insure that the design flowed seamlessly with the décor of the master bedroom.

Elevating the master bathroom to a level able to achieve 5 stars, the design now includes: new stained cabinets, marble countertops, tiled backsplash, bronze plumbing and a newly designed vaulted ceiling that is beautifully accented with wood beams. Bravo, Tim & Marlene!

Loved the mirrored cabinet doors, tile floor border and absolutely loved the high ceilings. What a “wow” bathroom.
